Hello and welcome to the Connecticut Farm Bureau website. I am Randolph
Blackmer, President of the Connecticut Farm Bureau. Farm Bureau has brought
to me a number of leadership opportunities and gives me the chance to
network with producers not only in Connecticut but nationally as well.
My family has a green house operation, custom fertilizing and crop protection
business and we raise beef cattle and vegetables in the northeast corner
of Connecticut.
As farms in the state face new challenges, Farm Bureau is there to assist
our members in meeting those challenges. We lobby on state and national
issues, working to protect our members interests and increase farm
income. We answer member calls regarding issues such as property taxation,
labor issues, sales tax and farm vehicle use. We work with government
officials to educate them on the impact of local and state regulations
on our farm businesses. Farm Bureau also offers value to its membership
by making products and services available to our members at discounted
rates.
Thank you for your interest in Farm Bureau.
