It's tough to accept that in Connecticut many families go to bed hungry.

Working with partners Foodshare and Connecticut Food Bank, Connecticut Farm Bureau farmers and gardeners donate excess produce, fruit, dairy and other farm products so they are not wasted.  How much?

In 2016, Connecticut Farm Bureau members donated 698,952 Pounds of Food to Foodshare and Connecticut Food Bank!

Want to help?  Plant an extra row.  Coordinate a gleaning team, and be willing to GO right when the farmer needs the help.  Volunteer at these food banks. Tell your legislator that you're proud of the local farms who donate so much food.  Learn more about the benefits and protections for Connecticut farmers:
